Harvard Extension School Information Technology Graduate Program

The Harvard Extension School realizes the importance of an education and the responsibility of earning a living at the same time. Therefor do they offer an online and evening Information Technology Graduate Program to individuals to balance their commitments and become a certified professional.
A comprehensive program to earn a Master’s degree in IT Management, software engineering, digital media and computation. The Master of Liberal Arts IT degree is a flexible program and students can choose from four different concentrations: Digital media art and instructional design, mathematics and computation, information management system and software engineering. All of these involve eleven courses and a capstone course or nine courses and a thesis.
The courses run in spring or fall terms and approximately 15 weeks each, a seven week Harvard Summer School term or a three-week January term. A student has five years in which to complete the degree. Before application there are three courses a student must complete to ensure it is the right choice of degree they want to follow. The tuition amount is around $1,950 per course and in total with capstone tuition will be roughly $ 24,000 and with a thesis it is $ 20,000.
After admission to one of the programs however there are a number of financial aid options in the form of loans, scholarships and grants available to qualifying students. The enrolment statistics of the Master of Liberal Arts IT degree is awarded by Harvard University with a graduation rate of 89 percent and enrolment is 90 percent part-time with an average age group of 22- 62 years. The majority of students are in the middle to late thirties, so it is never too late to fulfill a dream to become a certified professional in Information Technology.
